Overview
Facial contouring at Face and Co takes a holistic, full face approach. Rather than treating one area in isolation, we assess proportion across the cheeks, midface, jawline and chin to restore harmony and definition in a way that looks completely natural.
Benefits
- /Restored midface volume and lift
- /Defined cheekbones and jawline
- /Improved facial proportion and balance
- /Subtle, undetectable enhancement
Suitable for
- /Volume loss with age
- /Naturally undefined contours
- /Patients seeking facial balance rather than transformation
Clinical Detail
How we approach this treatment.
Full face assessment
Assessment covers proportion in thirds and fifths, midface projection, mandibular angle and definition, chin position, and how light falls across the face at rest and in animation. Photographs are taken straight on, at three quarters and in profile, because a plan built from a single front facing view misses the very relationships that create balance.
Sequencing and foundation first
Contouring is built from the deep structure outward. Bony support at the midface, jaw angle and chin is addressed first, since restoring that foundation often lifts and repositions soft tissue and reduces the volume needed anywhere else. Superficial refinement follows only once the foundation reads correctly.
Product choice and technique
Firmer, high lift hyaluronic acid gels are used on bone for structure, softer gels superficially for contour and light reflection. Cannula is preferred in vascular soft tissue planes for safety and reduced bruising, with needle used where precise supraperiosteal placement is required.
Knowing when to say no
Contouring cannot substitute for surgical lifting where there is significant skin laxity, and adding volume to a heavy lower face makes it heavier. Where a patient is better served by skin tightening, regenerative treatment or a surgical opinion, that is the advice given, even when it means turning treatment away.

Questions
Frequently asked.
How long do results last?
Depending on the area and product used, results typically last 12 to 18 months.
Will my face look 'done'?
No. Our contouring approach is intentionally restrained and rooted in facial proportion.
What is facial profile balancing?
It is planning the face as a whole from the side as well as the front: the relationship between forehead, nose, lips, chin and jaw. Correcting one feature without reading the profile is how faces end up looking treated rather than balanced.
Can filler correct facial asymmetry?
Often, yes. Most faces are asymmetric and small differences in projection or height can be visually balanced with asymmetric placement. Skeletal or nerve related asymmetry has limits and we explain those honestly at consultation.
How many areas will I need?
Sometimes fewer than expected. Full face assessment frequently shows that supporting the chin or midface achieves what a patient thought needed several syringes elsewhere.
How much does facial contouring cost in Belfast?
Cost depends on the areas treated and volume required. We price the plan at consultation rather than quoting a figure before assessing your anatomy.
Can I have everything done in one appointment?
Structural areas are often best staged, treating the foundation first and reviewing at two weeks before refining. It gives a more accurate result and avoids over correction.
