Clinical Detail

How we approach this treatment.

Preparation and technique

Blood is drawn and spun in a closed sterile system, and the platelet rich layer is separated for immediate use. Delivery is chosen to match the concern: microneedling for broad texture and tone, direct micro injection for the under eye area, neck and defined zones. Time from draw to delivery is kept short to protect growth factor activity.

Why autologous matters

Because PRP is derived from your own blood, there is no allergy or biocompatibility risk and nothing synthetic is left in the skin. The growth factors act as a signal, prompting fibroblasts to lay down new collagen over the following weeks rather than adding volume on the day.

Course planning and honest limits

A course of three sessions four weeks apart is the norm, with results assessed at twelve weeks. PRP improves skin quality and radiance. It will not lift descending tissue, replace volume or soften strong expression lines, and where those are your priority we will plan a different route instead.

Questions

Frequently asked.

When will I see results?

Initial glow appears within days, with progressive improvement over 8 to 12 weeks.

How long do results last?

Results typically last 12 months. Maintenance every 6 to 12 months is recommended.

Is PRP the same as a vampire facial?

It is the same principle. Your own platelet rich plasma is applied through microneedling or injected directly. We use the clinical term because the treatment is a regenerative protocol, not a novelty.

How much blood is taken?

Usually one to two small tubes, similar to a routine blood test, spun in a closed system centrifuge to separate the plasma.

Can PRP treat under eye hollows and dark circles?

It improves skin quality, crepiness and tone in the under eye area, but it does not fill hollowing. If volume loss is the main issue, we will discuss whether filler or polynucleotides suit you better.

Is there downtime?

Expect redness for 24 to 48 hours when delivered by microneedling, and occasional small bruises with direct injection. Most patients are back in makeup after 24 hours.

Who is not suitable?

Patients with platelet or clotting disorders, active skin infection, certain autoimmune conditions or who are on anticoagulant therapy. This is checked at consultation.
