How we approach this treatment.
Midface assessment
We assess the position of the malar fat pads, the depth of the tear trough and midcheek groove, zygomatic projection, skin quality and the degree of true volume loss versus descent. Not everyone with a tired midface needs filler, and we will say when a different approach is more appropriate.
Placement and product
Structural, high lift gels are placed deep on the zygoma for projection, with softer, more spreadable products used with a cannula to blend the medial cheek and transition zones. Volumes are kept conservative and built across sessions rather than delivered in one heavy treatment.
Recovery
Swelling is typically mild and settles within three to five days. Bruising at cannula entry points can occur. The result is reviewed at two weeks once the product has integrated.
